The Samajwadi Party (SP) on Friday released its first list for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. A total number of six candidates have been named in the first list.
Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav will contest from Mainpuri Seat.
Dharmendra Yadav will fight from Badaun, Senior SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav’s son Akshay Yadav will contest from Firozabad.
The first list of six candidates of the SP also includes Kamlesh Katheria from Etahwah, Shabbir Valmiki from Behraich and Bhai Lal from Robertsganj.
SP’s decision to release its first list came after the Congress released its first list of candidates for 15 seats for Lok Sabha polls on Thursday that included four in Gujarat and 11 seats in Uttar Pradesh, naming UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi as the party’s candidate from Rae Bareli and Rahul Gandhi from the Amethi seat.
