Salman Khan Takes Legal Action Against ‘Kala Hiran’, Film’s Future Uncertain

Mumbai: A fresh controversy has erupted in Bollywood after actor Salman Khan’s legal team issued a notice to the makers of the upcoming film ‘Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy’, a project reportedly inspired by the long-running blackbuck poaching case associated with the superstar. The legal notice seeks to stop the film’s release and promotional activities, arguing that it violates Salman Khan’s personality rights.

The film, produced by Amit Jani, was announced only a few days ago and has already generated significant attention. According to the makers, the project draws inspiration from events surrounding the 1998 blackbuck poaching controversy and is expected to touch upon the wider debate involving wildlife conservation and the Bishnoi community. The teaser is scheduled to be released on June 20.

Following the legal notice, producer Amit Jani pushed back against the allegations. He stated that ‘Kala Hiran’ is not a biographical film on Salman Khan and claimed that the story is based on information already available in the public domain. Jani also described the legal action as premature, pointing out that only the poster has been released so far.

Reports suggest that Salman Khan’s legal team has also demanded the removal of promotional material linked to the film. The actor’s representatives reportedly believe the project could create an unfair association with an ongoing legal matter.

For now, the dispute appears headed toward a legal battle. Whether the film proceeds as planned or faces further hurdles may depend on the outcome of discussions between both sides and any future court proceedings. With the teaser launch date approaching, all eyes are now on the next move from Salman Khan’s team and the filmmakers.
