Russian President Vladimir Putin will pay an official visit to India on October 4 and 5 to take part in the 19th India-Russia annual bilateral summit with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said.
The statement also said that the Russian president will also have a meeting with President Ram Nath Kovind.
“During the visit, President Putin will hold official talks with the Prime Minister Modi… He will also have a meeting with the President (Ram Nath Kovind), as well as other official engagements,” statement added.
According to reports the Indian Prime Minister and the Russian president will discuss key aspects of the further development of Russian-Indian privileged strategic partnership and exchange opinions on current international and regional issues. A series of documents will be signed following the talks.
The last annual summit was held during the visit of Indian PM to Russia on June 1, 2017.
