Robert Vadra, the husband of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, and his mother Maureen Vadra on Tuesday arrived at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Jaipur for questioning in connection with Bikaner land case. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accompanied them to the ED’s Jaipur office.
‘Priyanka Gandhi Zindabad’ and ‘Chowkidaar Chor Hai’ slogans were raised outside the ED office in Jaipur as soon as Vadra and his mother arrived.
Vadra arrived in Jaipur on Monday after being summoned by the ED. The case is related to an alleged land scam in the state’s Bikaner.
According to sources, ED officials have prepared a set of 55 questions for Vadra in the alleged land scam case.
ED had on February 7 asked Robert Vadra to appear before it on February 12 in Jaipur.
This is Vadra’s fourth appearance before the agency in past one week and the first in Jaipur.
On the last three occasions, Vadra appeared before ED in Delhi in connection with a money laundering case against him for his alleged role in procuring assets in London.
The agency had summoned Vadra thrice in the Bikaner case, but he failed to appear.
The fresh summoned by the agency came after the Rajasthan High Court directed Vadra and his mother to cooperate with the ED.
