His work, Elk, is part of the PixCell series — animal sculptures covered in glass beads that distort light and proportions. It questions what we see and what we perceive. It is a fantastic mix of reality and illusion. The work appeals to both visual and tactual senses, at the same time. By using and manipulating the tactility of materials, it emphasises the ways in which we encounter objects in our daily environment. I also recommend trying the fried mushroom dish. Go there to eat, not drink. The place’s interior decor leans more towards fine dining than casual, with a private dining section. The clientele is mainly families out for a day together at the mall.
