Everybody knows that the Indian economy is a dead economy. I am glad that President Trump has stated a fact. It is a dead economy, are you people not aware of it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Soon after Rahul Gandhi stated his comments, his colleagues including Shashi Tharoor and Rajiv Shukla highlighted the strength of the Indian economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to reporters, Tharoor said, \u201cThe Indian economy is not dead, you know it. We won\u2019t bow to unfair demands by US.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rajiv Shukla said, \u201cTrump\u2019s remark that Indian economy is dead, is wrong. Trump\u2019s living in delusion.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi and said, that he seems to be confusing Indian economy with Pakistan\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sharing his thoughts on micro blogging site, BJP national spokesperson said, \u201cEconomy is alive and kicking, Rahul Gandhi\u2019s logic is dead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPehle Tolo, Phir Bolo,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident comes after US President Donald Trump announces 25 per cent tariff on India, warned additional penalties, and expressed displeasure over BRICS and called Indian economy dead in just 24 hours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi\u2019s supporting comments on US President Donald Trump\u2019s \u201cdead economy\u201d remark has created series of backfired remarks from his own party with colleagues and allies taking an opposite stand.
