This is also not the first time a satirical\/comic book or show has gained similar public attention, for example The Simpsons. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strange as it may sound but rumours of impending disaster originating from \u201ca comic book prediction\u201d have reportedly hit Japan tourism with some airlines even cancelling flights. While April saw an all-time monthly high, arrivals have been hit hard in the wake of rumours of a \u201cmassive tsunami hitting Japan on July 5, 2025\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rumours are based on a manga called \u201cThe Future I Saw\u201d by Ryo Tatsuki, who is also being called the \u201cNew Baba Vanga.\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Apparently, the prediction describes a \u201ccrack emerging under the seabed between Japan and the Philippines, triggering a tsunami three times larger than the one in 2011.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on Tatsuki\u2019s dreams, \u201cThe Future I Saw\u201d manga  was first published on July 1, 1999. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reprinted full version was published on October 1, 2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The version with extra diaries by the author was released on April 1, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to reports, Tatsuki\u2019s manga went unnoticed until after the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami when readers noticed that the cover of the first edition in 1999 with words \u201cgreat disaster will happen in March 2011\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is a manga?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The term manga is used in Japan to refer to both comics and cartooning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manga basically are comics or graphic novels originating from Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside of Japan, the word is typically used to refer to comics originally published in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
