The very public feud between US President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk appears to be headed towards an equally public reconciliation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musk on Wednesday regretted some of the posts he had made about Trump on social media. \u201cI regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far,\u201d he wrote on ‘X’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musk\u2019s post follows Trump\u2019s interview to a newspaper, in which the US President said he was open to the possibility of reconciliation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump said he was a \u201clittle disappointed\u201d but there were \u201cno hard feelings.\u201d \u201cI think he (Musk) feels very badly that he said that,\u201d Trump was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Trump-Musk fallout and the attacks on each other on social media attacks were talk of the World.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It all started when after leaving the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), Musk began lobbying against Trump’s \u201cbig, beautiful\u201d spending bill passed by the US House last month, calling it a \u201cdisgusting abomination\u201d. Urging Americans to call their representatives in Washington to \u201ckill the bill,\u201d Musk said it would \u201ccause a recession in the second half of the year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musk also posted on \u2018X\u2019 a 1992 video showing Trump \u2018partying\u2019 with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. Musk offered no proof but the post reignited public interest in the files, denting Trump\u2019s image by suggesting his connection with hidden government files related to Epstein\u2019s alleged crimes<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The White House rubbished Musk’s claims. Trump said his former aide had \u201clost his mind\u201d and threatened to cancel his government contracts. \u201cI think it’s a very bad thing, because he is very disrespectful. You could not disrespect the office of the President,\u201d Trump said <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musk, in turn, accused Trump of \u201cingratitude\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWithout me, Trump would have lost the election,\u201d he claimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apparently, efforts were being made to make peace between the two warring sides. Musk appeared to have also deleted many of his posts, including one calling for Trump\u2019s impeachment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
