The attack occurred while the soldiers were on a &#8220;fence patrol&#8221; along the Line of Control (LoC), the Indian Army confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a statement posted on X, the Army&#8217;s White Knight Corps expressed its condolences, saying: &#8220;White Knight Corps salutes and pays tribute to the supreme sacrifice of two gallant soldiers.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The army added that troops are currently dominating the area, and search operations are underway to track down the perpetrators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This incident follows a series of recent security challenges along the LoC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On February 10, a soldier was critically injured after being hit by gunfire in the Rajouri district&#8217;s Nowshera sector. Preliminary reports suggest the firing originated from across the LoC. The injured soldier was promptly evacuated to a military hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, on February 8, an army patrol in the Keri sector came under fire from terrorists positioned in a forest across the LoC.
