South Kashmir\u2019s Shopian emerged as the coldest area in the valley, registering -5.5\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sub-zero temperatures were reported across the region, including Pahalgam at -5.0\u00b0C and Srinagar at -2.1\u00b0C, marking the coldest night of the season in the summer capital. Other locations in South Kashmir, such as Anantnag (-5.1\u00b0C) and Pulwama (-4.8\u00b0C), also recorded freezing conditions, while Kulgam remained steady at 0\u00b0C for the third consecutive day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In North Kashmir, Kupwara saw a low of -2.3\u00b0C, with Bandipora and Baramulla at -3.3\u00b0C and -3.2\u00b0C, respectively. Central Kashmir towns like Budgam (-3.6\u00b0C) and Ganderbal (-2.1\u00b0C) were similarly affected by the cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jammu division experienced comparatively milder temperatures, with Bhaderwah recording the lowest at 1.2\u00b0C. Jammu city reported 10.1\u00b0C, while Katra and Kathua recorded 9.2\u00b0C and 10.2\u00b0C, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Ladakh, besides Nyoma\u2019s extreme low, Stakna registered -13.4\u00b0C, Tangste -12.8\u00b0C, and Drass -12.2\u00b0C. Leh and Kargil recorded -8.8\u00b0C and -8.3\u00b0C, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MeT department has predicted clear skies for Thursday but expects moderate rain in parts of the Kashmir Valley between November 29 and December 3.
