The case has been listed for hearing in the next 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court took suo motu cognizance of the matter after there was a major uproar over Lakhimpur violence and a letter was also written to the Chief Justice by two lawyers from Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n<p>In the letter, they asked for a CBI investigation that should go under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Similarly, two advocates had also moved the Allahabad High Court.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath government alleged that opposition parties including Samajwati Party leader Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi in a joint conspiracy wanted to inflame riots in Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n<p>State Minister Suresh Raina also made the allegations in a statement on Wednesday on the arrival of Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi in Lakhimpur to meet the deceased families.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Supreme Court three judge Bench led by CJI N.V Ramana took a suo motu Cognisance of the Lakhimpur Kheri violence, where 9 people including 4 farmers were\u00a0killed.
