With the declaration of the reopening of schools and colleges\u00a0from 1 September,\u00a0Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Friday said no student will be forced to come for physical classes.<\/p>\n

While addressing a press conference Manish Sisodia said -“Social distancing should be strictly followed and no student will be forced to come to the school. Consent of parents will be essential for students to come. If parents do not permit, then students will not be forced to come, they will not be considered absent either.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Delhi government has decided to reopen educational institutions in a phased manner, starting on September 1 for Classes 9 to 12 and for college students. Coaching classes have been permitted to start as well.<\/p>\n

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said if the situation continues to be normal and the third wave of Covid doesn\u2019t come, all schools and colleges will be opened.<\/p>\n

He further said -\u201cthe situation in Delhi is under control. At one time parents were also worried but now parents are saying that schools should be opened at the earliest so that students can continue their studies.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Deputy Chief Minister said in some schools, classrooms are being used for vaccination but there is enough space for reopening schools for Classes 9 to 12.<\/p>\n

Sisodia said \u201cWherever the vaccination is going on in the schools, we have done a complete review of it… we will reduce them but now, we have space as schools are opening for Classes 9 to 12 only.\u201d<\/p>\n
