Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and election strategist Prashant Kishor’s names are revealed\u00a0 in the second set of revelations among the potential targets of Israeli spyware ‘Pegasus’.<\/p>\n

Apart from Rahul Gandhi, names of Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee\u2019s MP nephew Abhishek Banerjee were also exposed in the list.<\/p>\n

The list of journalists, ministers and opposition leaders were allegedly hacked via the Israeli spyware Pegasus, a global media consortium and Indian news agencies reported Monday.<\/p>\n

Rahul’s apparent dig at Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s government after the Pegasus attack to hack phones of over 40 leading journalists in the country surfaced.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know what he\u2019s been reading- everything on your phone! #Pegasus (sic),\u201d Gandhi tweeted Monday morning.<\/p>\n

It isn\u2019t clear if Gandhi is on the list of those who were spied on using the hacking software, but the former party president had been talking about surveillance for some time now.<\/p>\n

At least two mobile phone numbers that were being used by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi figured among 300 verified Indian numbers that were listed as potential targets of Israeli surveillance technology vendor NSO Group.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
