Till Saturday, the number of such people was 90.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">All of them have been kept in single room isolation in designated Health Care facilities by respective State Governments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Their close contacts have also been put under quarantine. Comprehensive contact tracing has been initiated for co-travellers, family contacts and others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The situation is under careful watch and regular advice is being provided to the States for enhanced surveillance, containment, testing &amp; dispatch of samples to INSACOG labs, it said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">16,311 fresh cases of the coronavirus and 161 deaths reported in the past 24 hours in India , taking the tally to 1,04,66,595. The death toll rose to 1,51,160,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Of the total cases, 1,00,92,909 have been cured\/discharged. There are 2,22,526 active cases of COVID-19 in India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The new UK variant of coronavirus has been reported by several countries, including Denmark, the Netherlands, Australia, Italy, Sweden, France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Japan, Lebanon and Singapore.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The number of people who have been infected with the new strain of coronavirus has risen to 96, the Health Ministry said on Monday.
