The rescue operation that was underway for nearly three days has been called off.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">As many as 20 people have been rescued and are being treated at hospitals in Bhiwandi and Thane.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Satya Narayan Pradhan, DG NDRF informed about the situation on the ground, in a tweet he said, &#8220;#BhiwandiBuildingCollapse update11-FINAL @5Ndrf on site, 61 persons a\/cted for, 41 dead (M-22,F-19), Incl 10 children, 20 rescued live, OPS CLOSED, Prayers of @NDRFHQ For families of deceased &amp; departed souls.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">The incident happened at around 3:40 am on September 21, when the three-storey building collapsed in the Patel Compound area of Bhiwandi near Mumbai.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">The authorities have suspended two civic officials and a case has been registered against the building owner.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Death toll in Bhiwandi building collapse on Thursday rose to 41 including 10 children.
