Umar was arrested under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Amitabh Rawat, Additional Session Judge, Karkardooma Court, said, &#8220;The case diary is being produced for examination for subjective satisfaction of this court prior to grant of police custody remand. Since technical data and other material are substantial which needs to be confronted, it is necessary that 10 days police custody remand be granted.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Appearing for Delhi Police, Amit Prasad, Special Public Prosecutor, told the court that Khalid has to be confronted with documentary evidence as from the examination of witnesses; it is revealed that accused was coordinating the protest sites in Delhi in connivance with other radical groups.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Khalid was arrested on Sunday night after being interrogated twice in the case.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Delhi court on Monday sent Umar Khalid to 10-day police custody after he was arrested for alleged role in anti-CAA-NRC riots.
