Will continue to fight for justice of Slum dwellers!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">On August 31, the top court had directed the removal of 48,000 slum dwellings across railway tracks in Delhi within three months and said there shall not be any kind of political interference in the matter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Ajay Maken had moved the Supreme Court on Friday seeking rehabilitation of inhabitants prior to the removal of 48,000 slum dwellings alongside the railway tracks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The petition filed through advocates Aman Panwar and Nitin Saluja said that the August 31 order directing demolition was passed without hearing a single slum dweller either directly or in representative capacity, the same cannot be sustained.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Central government on Monday informed the Supreme Court that no slums will be demolished near the rail tracks as the Railways is discussing this issue with the Delhi government and the Ministry of Urban Development to find a solution.
