\"\"<\/a>Delhi Metro on Monday resumed operations from 7 am after a period of 169 days in view of COVID-19 pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

In phase 1, metro services resumed on the yellow line connecting Samaypur Badli to Huda City Centre and Rapid Metro in Gurugram.<\/span><\/p>\n

Barricades have been installed at the entrance gates and police force has been deployed outside the metro stations for crowd management.<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Do not sit here” stickers have also been fixed on alternate seats to maintain social distancing inside the metros.<\/span><\/p>\n

Only the use of a Smart card is allowed to enter the metro stations.<\/span><\/p>\n

The temperature of the passengers are being checked at the entrance gates and also it is being ensured that everyone passenger has installed Aarogya Setu app. The facility of Sanitisers and masks are also being provided at the stations.<\/span><\/p>\n

While it came as a relief for a large number of commuters, however, some are still scared due to COVID-19 crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal expressed happiness over the resumption of Delhi Metro.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a tweet, Delhi CM said, “I am happy that the metro is starting from today. The metro has made good arrangements. We all should take precautions and not neglect them.”<\/span><\/p>\n

In Unlock 4, the central government allowed to operate Metro rail with effect from September 7 in a graded manner and on September 3, the government had issued the guidelines for metro operations.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
