UGC also informed the apex court that states cannot decide to confer degrees without holding the final year examinations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Supreme Court in its verdict told states to hold examinations to promote students.
