He was 50.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Kamat was admitted to Hyderabad&#8217;s AIG Hospitals on July 31. He was suffering from Liver Cirrhosis for the past two years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">He breathed his last at\u00a04.24 pm today, the hospital confirmed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Numerous celebrities, including Riteish Deshmukh\u00a0and Ajay Devgn mourned the demise of the filmmaker.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">&#8220;I will miss you my friend. #NishikantKamat Rest In Peace,\u201d\u00a0Riteish Deshmukh\u00a0wrote on twitter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Ajay Devgn in a tweet said, \u201cMy equation with Nishikant was not just about Drishyam, a film which he directed with Tabu and me. It was an association that I cherished. He was bright; ever-smiling. He has gone too soon. RIP Nishikant.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Kamat was known for films like Madaari, Force, Mumbai Meri Jaan and more.
