\"\"Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday unfurled the Indian National Flag at the Red Fort on the occasion of Independence Day.<\/span><\/p>\n

He also extended greetings to the people of the nation. “Happy Independence Day to all fellow Indians. Jai Hind!” tweeted Modi.<\/span><\/p>\n

On his arrival at the Lahori Gate of Red Fort, PM Modi was received by the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar, following which he inspected a Guard of Honour at the fort.<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi paid tributes at Raj Ghat.<\/span><\/p>\n

PM Modi began Independence Day address by paying tributes to freedom fighters and security forces.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOur armed forces, our paramilitary and police forces are forever dedicated to protecting Maa Bharati and the common people; today is the day to salute their sacrifices,\u201d said Modi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Modi paid condolences to the parts of the country facing natural calamities and disasters and reassured full support to citizen in this hour of need.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn past few days we have faced tragedies like floods and landslide in many parts of India and many people lost their lives; my condolences to their families,\u201d said Modi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Modi gave a clarion call for Aatmanirbhar Bharat.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIn the midst of the Corona pandemic, 130 crore Indians have pledged to build an AatmaNirbhar Bharat,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am confident that India will realize this dream. I am confident of the abilities, confidence and potential of my fellow Indians. Once we decide to do something, we do not rest till we achieve that goal,\u201d the Prime Minister said.<\/span><\/p>\n

He further said, \u201cIndia has always believed that the entire world is one family. While we focus on economic growth and development, humanity must retain a central role in this process and our journey.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am confident that measures like opening up the SPACE sector, will generate many new employment opportunities for our youth and provide further avenues to hone their skills and potential,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Modi said, \u201cWe have to move forward with mantra of ‘Make in India’ as well as ‘Make for World’.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNational Infrastructure Pipeline project will play a crucial role in pulling the country out of impact of COVID19; Over Rs 110 lakh crores will be spent on this and 7000 projects have been identified across various sectors,\u201d the Prime Minister said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cDuring corona crisis over 80 crore Indian received free food grains, Rs 90,000 crores were transferred into accounts of the needy, a feat unthinkable till a few years ago,\u201d he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Modi said, \u201cNational Digital Health Mission will bring a new revolution in India’s health sector.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

National Digital Health Mission – a revolution in health sector in India, starts today; Every Indian will get a health ID which will be a repository of all health-related information of a person.<\/span><\/p>\n
