Blue skies always. The Arrow formation (Rafales) was given ceremonial welcome by SU-30s,\u201d IAF tweeted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cThe Birds have landed safely in Ambala. The touch down of Rafale combat aircrafts in India marks the beginning of a new era in our Military History. These multirole aircrafts will revolutionise the capabilities of the @IAF_MCC,\u201d Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The Defence Minister further said, \u201cI congratulate the IAF on a professionally executed ferry. I am sure that 17 Squadron, the Golden Arrows, will continue to live upto their motto of &#8220;Udayam Ajasram&#8221;. I am extremely happy that IAF\u2019s combat capability has got a timely boost.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">He also thanked the French Government, Dassault Aviation and other French companies for ensuring the timely delivery of the aircraft and its weapons, despite the severe restrictions posed by COVID pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cProud to see off first five Rafale to India \u2013 swift, nimble, versatile, advanced and lethal. Flown by IAF Pilots \u2013 world\u2019s best!\u201d Indian Ambassador to France Jawed Ashraf said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">As per the IAF official, the fleet comprises three single-seater and two twin-seater aircraft.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Jawed Ashraf thanked the French Government and Dassault Aviation at the Merignac facility.
