However, the top court yesterday refused to restrain the HC from passing its order.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot and rebel Congress MLAs have challenged the Speaker\u2019s notices in court saying the notices under anti-defection law were not maintainable as voicing dissent does not amount to defection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Amid the tussle between Sachin Pilot and Chief Minister\u00a0Ashok Gehlot, the Congress had sacked Pilot as the Rajasthan deputy chief minister and the president of the state Congress unit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The decision was taken after Pilot along with his MLAs skipped the Congress Legislature Party meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Rajasthan High court on Friday ordered status quo to be maintained in the disqualification case against Sachin Pilot and rebel Congress MLAs.
