It was later deleted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said it was a &#8220;tough day for us at Twitter.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cTough day for us at Twitter. We all feel terrible this happened. We\u2019re diagnosing and will share everything we can when we have a more complete understanding of exactly what happened,\u201d Jack Dorsey wrote.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Twitter in a statement said, \u201cWe are aware of a security incident impacting accounts on Twitter. We are investigating and taking steps to fix it. We will update everyone shortly.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cOnce we became aware of the incident, we immediately locked down the affected accounts and removed Tweets posted by the attackers,\u201d it said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cWe\u2019re continuing to limit the ability to Tweet, reset your password, and some other account functionalities while we look into this. Thanks for your patience,\u201d it said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cMost accounts should be able to Tweet again. As we continue working on a fix, this functionality may come and go.
