A total of 21,129 coronavirus patients have lost their lives, the Union Health Ministry said on Thursday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">There are 2,69,789 active cases while 4,76,377 have been cured\/discharged, according to Health Ministry data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Maharashtra remains the worst affected state in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 2,23,724 with\u00a09,448 fatalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Tamil Nadu has the second highest COVID-19 cases \u2013 1,22,350 with 1,700 deaths followed by Delhi \u2013 1,04,864 and 3,213 deaths, Gujarat \u2013 38,333 cases and\u00a01,993 fatalities and Uttar Pradesh \u2013 31156 cases and 845 deaths.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">A total of 1,07,40,832 samples have been tested up to July 8 of which 2,67,061 samples were tested yesterday, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The number of coronavirus cases in India have risen to 7,67,296 as it recorded 24,879 fresh infections in the last 24 hours.
