Further details shall follow.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Goosu area of Pulwama based on intelligence information about presence of terrorists in the area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">As the forces encircled the suspected spot, hiding terrorists fired upon them, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Chinar Corps-Indian Army earlier in a tweet said, \u201cOp Gosu (#Pulwama). Joint Operation was launched today early morning on @JmuKmrPolice inputs. Cordon was laid &amp; contact established. Firefight ensued.
