A total of 16,893 coronavirus patients have lost their lives, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">There are 2,15,125 active cases while 3,34,821 have been cured\/discharged, according to Health Ministry data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Maharashtra remains the worst affected state in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,69,883 with\u00a07,610 fatalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Delhi has the second highest COVID-19 cases \u2013 85,161 with 2,680 deaths, followed by Tamil Nadu \u2013 86,224 cases and 1,141 deaths,\u00a0Gujarat \u2013 31,938 cases and\u00a01,827 fatalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">A total of 86,08,654 samples have been tested so far of which 2,10,292 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The number of coronavirus cases in India have risen to 5,66,840 as it recorded 18,522 fresh infections in the last 24 hours.
