A total of 15,301 coronavirus patients have lost their lives, the Union Health Ministry said on Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">There are 1,89,463 active cases while 2,85,636 have been cured\/discharged, according to Health Ministry data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Maharashtra remains the worst affected state in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,47,741 with\u00a06,931 fatalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Delhi has the second highest COVID-19 cases \u2013 73,780 with 2,429 deaths, followed by Tamil Nadu \u2013 70,977 cases and 911 deaths,\u00a0Gujarat \u2013 29,520 cases and\u00a01,753 fatalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">A total of 77,76,228 samples have been tested so far of which 2,15,446 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The number of coronavirus cases in India have risen to 4,90,401 as it recorded 17,296 fresh infections in the last 24 hours.
