Rubbishing the rumors of leadership change in the BJP-led coalition government in Manipur,\u00a0 BJP National General Secretary, Ram Madhav, on Wednesday, said there is no instability in the government of Manipur, and it will complete its five-year term.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs far as the government is concerned, I don\u2019t see any instability. Even if there is anything like that, we know how to stabilize it. Nobody needs to worry; nobody needs to dream big,\u201d said Mr. Madhav, attending the felicitation function of newly-elected Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba at Chief Minister\u2019s Secretariat, Imphal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Madhav said: \u201cA stable government committed to the welfare of the people will continue in Manipur for another one and a half years; we will go to the people with five years of successful governance.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Madhav, who has been a troubleshooter of the party, said the BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and BJP President JP Nadda decided to honor the great contribution of the forefathers of Leishemba Sanajaoba.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe least that BJP can do is to have him at Rajya Sabha, the upper house of the parliament, to represent the people of Manipur for the welfare of the state. BJP will always there to support him,\u201d added Mr. Madhav.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, all four MLAs of the National People\u2019s Party, who had withdrawn support to the BJP-led government, had left Imphal for Delhi. The four MLAs along with convenor of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) Himanta Biswa Sarma and\u00a0 NPP President and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma met BJP President JP Nadda to cement the BJP-NPP relation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Clearing the air of uncertainty over BJP-led government\u2019s fate, Mr. Sarma, in a tweet, said, NPP will continue to support BJP govt in Manipur for the development of Manipur.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA NPP delegation led by @SangmaConrad and Dy\u00a0 Chief Minister of Manipur Sri Y Joy Kumar Singh met Honble President\u00a0 of @BJP4India\u00a0 Sri @JPNadda ji today in New Delhi. NPP will continue to support BJP govt in Manipur for the development of Manipur,\u201d Mr. Sarma tweeted on Wednesday morning.<\/span><\/p>\n

On June 17, two days before the Rajya Sabha election, three BJP MLAs resigned; all four MLAs of National People\u2019s Party (NPP), one of the allies of the Bharatiya Janata Party withdrew its support. Moreover,\u00a0 a Trinamool Congress MLA and an independent also withdrew its support from the BJP-led coalition government reducing the Biren-led government to a minority.\u00a0\u00a0 However, the BJP had managed to clinch the only RS seat of the state with support from a few MLAs of rival Congress Party.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
