A total of 12,948 coronavirus patients have lost their lives, the Union Health Ministry said on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">There are 1,68,269 active cases while 2,13,830 have been cured\/discharged, according to Health Ministry data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Maharashtra remains the worst affected state in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,24,331 with\u00a05,893 fatalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Tamil Nadu continues to be the\u00a0second-worst hit state with\u00a054,449 COVID-19 cases and 666 deaths, followed by Delhi with 53,116 cases and 2,035 deaths,\u00a0Gujarat \u2013 26,141 cases and\u00a01,618 fatalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">A total of 66,16,496 samples have been tested so far of which 1,89,869 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>India\u2019s COVID-19 cases have risen to 3,95,048 as it recorded 14,516 fresh infections in the last 24 hours.
