The total number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 88,528 with\u00a03,169 fatalities, according to Health Ministry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Tamil Nadu continues to be the\u00a0second-worst hit state with\u00a033,229 Covid-19 cases and 286 deaths, followed by Delhi with 29,943 cases and 874 deaths,\u00a0Gujarat \u2013 20,545 cases and\u00a01,280 fatalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">A total of 49,16,116 samples have been tested as on June 9, of which 1,41,682 samples have been tested in last 24 hours, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The World Health Organization on Monday said that the coronavirus pandemic is worsening around the globe, even as the situation in Europe is improving.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said, \u201cthis is not the time for any country to take its foot off the pedal.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cWith almost 7M COVID19 cases &amp; 400K deaths globally, this is not the time for any country to take its foot off the pedal.
