Jammu and Kashmir police and security forces are carrying out the search operation in the area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The operation is currently underway.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Kashmir Zone Police in a tweet said, \u201c#Encounter has started at #Saimoh area of #Tral #Awantipora. Police and security forces are on the job. So far, 01 #terrorist killed. Operation going on. Further details shall follow.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">According to Army officials, terrorists were given a chance to surrender. Announcements were made for them to surrender but they opened fire resulting in an encounter in which one terrorist was killed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Chinar Corps-Indian Army in a tweet said, \u201cJoint operation launched on 02 Jun on specific intelligence. Cordon laid. Contact established early morning. Announcements made for terrorists to surrender. Firefight ensued. One terrorist killed.
