The total number of COVID-19 cases has jumped to 62,228 with\u00a02,098 fatalities, according to the Union Health Ministry.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Tamil Nadu continues to be the\u00a0second-worst hit state with\u00a020,246 Covid-19 cases and 154 deaths, followed by Delhi with 17,386 cases and 398 deaths,\u00a0Gujarat &#8211; 15,934 cases and\u00a0980 fatalities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">As per the ministry&#8217;s website, more than 70 per cent of the deaths are due to comorbidities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The\u00a0Indian Council of Medical Research said a total of 36,11,599 samples of coronavirus have been tested as on May 30.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">1,27,761 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours, the ICMR said.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>India\u2019s COVID-19 cases has risen to 1,73,763 with 4,971 fatalities.
