There are 69,597 active cases while 51,783 have been cured\/discharged, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Maharashtra has highest COVID-19 cases \u2013 44,582, followed by Tamil Nadu \u2013 14,753, Gujarat \u2013 13,268 and Delhi \u2013 12,319.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has relaxed Visa and Travel restrictions imposed in response to COVID -19, permitting certain categories of Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders, who are stranded abroad, to come to India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Following categories of OCI Cardholders stranded abroad, have been permitted to come to India: &#8211;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Minor children born to Indian nationals abroad and holding OCI cards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">OCI cardholders who wish to come to India on account of family emergencies like death in family.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Couples where one spouse is an OCI cardholder and the other is an Indian national and they have a permanent residence in India.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">University students who are OCI cardholders (not legally minors) but whose parents are Indian citizens living in India.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The travel restrictions, imposed earlier by MHA on May 7, would not apply to any aircraft, ship, train or any other vehicle deployed for bringing back the above-mentioned categories of OCI cardholders who are stranded abroad. \u00a0All other terms and conditions laid down by MHA on May 7 would continue to remain in effect, according to the official release.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COVID-19 cases in India has risen to 1,25,101, with 3,720 fatalities.
