{"id":323212,"date":"2020-05-15T12:53:53","date_gmt":"2020-05-15T12:53:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tehelka.com\/?p=323212"},"modified":"2020-05-15T12:53:53","modified_gmt":"2020-05-15T12:53:53","slug":"rs-1-lakh-crore-for-agriculture-infrastructure-fund-rs-10000-crore-for-mfe-nirmala-sitharaman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tehelka.com\/rs-1-lakh-crore-for-agriculture-infrastructure-fund-rs-10000-crore-for-mfe-nirmala-sitharaman\/","title":{"rendered":"Rs 1 lakh crore for agriculture infrastructure fund, Rs 10,000 Crore for MFE: Nirmala Sitharaman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-323213 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/tehelka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/nirmala.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"535\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tehelka.com\/media\/2020\/05\/nirmala.jpg 680w, https:\/\/tehelka.com\/media\/2020\/05\/nirmala-300x236.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tehelka.com\/media\/2020\/05\/nirmala-534x420.jpg 534w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 680px) 100vw, 680px\" \/>Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday said that Rs 1 lakh crore fund will be created for agriculture infrastructure projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cIn a move to strengthen infrastructure in agriculture, financing facility of Rs. 1 lakh crore will be provided for funding Agriculture Infrastructure Projects at farm-gate &amp; aggregation points,\u201d she said while announcing the third tranche of COVID-19 relief package.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The Finance Minister also announced a Rs 10,000 crore scheme for formalisation of micro food enterprises (MFE).<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The scheme will be launched to help 2 lakh MFEs by adopting cluster-based approach such as mango in UP, Kesar in Jammu &amp; Kashmir, bamboo shoots in North-East, Chilli in Andhra Pradesh, tapioca in Tamil Nadu.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Rs 20,000 crores for Fishermen through Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY)<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Government will launch Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana for integrated, sustainable, inclusive development of marine and inland fisheries to plug critical gaps in fisheries value chain; move will provide employment to over 55 lakh people and double exports to Rs 1 lakh crore.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Government will launch the PMMSY for integrated, sustainable, inclusive development of marine and inland fisheries<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Rs 20,000 crore for fishermen through Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY). Rs 11,000 crore for activities in marine, inland fisheries and aquaculture.
