There are 41,472 active cases while 19,357 have been cured\/discharged, the Health Ministry said on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Maharashtra has highest COVID-19 cases \u2013 20,228, followed by Gujarat \u2013 7,796, Delhi \u2013 6,542, Tamil Nadu \u2013 6,535, Rajasthan \u2013 3,708 and Madhya Pradesh \u2013 3,614.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to deploy Central teams to\u00a010 states that have witnessed\/are witnessing high case load and high spurt of\u00a0cases. The teams will assist the State Health departments of respective states to\u00a0facilitate management of COVID-19 outbreak, according to the official release.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The teams are composed of a senior official from the MoHFW, a Joint Secretary\u00a0level nodal officer and a public health expert. The team shall support the State\u00a0health department in implementation of containment measures in the affected\u00a0areas within the respective states\u2019 districts\/cities, the statement said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">This is besides the 20 central teams of public health experts who were earlier sent\u00a0to the high case load districts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">A high-level team had recently been deputed to Mumbai to support the State\u00a0efforts in COVID-19 response and management.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Coronavirus cases in India has risen to 62,939, with 2,109 deaths.
