There are 26167 active cases while 9950 have been cured\/discharged.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Maharashtra has highest COVID-19 cases \u2013 11506, followed by Gujarat \u2013 4721, Delhi \u2013 3738, Madhya Pradesh \u2013 2719 and Rajasthan \u2013 2666.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Government of India on Friday decided to extend the lockdown for a further period of two weeks with effect from May 4.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">The decision was taken after a comprehensive review of the lockdown measures which led to significant gains in the covid-19 situation in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India issued an order under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, to further extend the lockdown for a period of two weeks beyond May 4, 2020. MHA also issued new guidelines to regulate different activities in this period, based on the risk profiling of the districts of the country in to Red (hotspot), Orange and Green Zones.
