There are 18,668 active cases, while 5,062 have been cured\/discharged, the Health Ministry said on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Maharashtra has highest COVID-19 cases \u2013 6,817, followed by Gujarat \u2013 2,815, Delhi \u2013 2,514, Rajasthan \u2013 2,034 and Madhya Pradesh \u2013 1,852.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Country\u2019s doubling rate of COVID-19 cases has also improved to 10 days from 7.5 days reported earlier, the Health Ministry said yesterday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) in a late-night order allowed the opening of shops registered under the Shops and Establishment Act with some conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">As per the order, the shops, including those in residential and market complexes, will be allowed to open. The relaxations, however, will not be applicable to the shops in shopping malls and hotspot\/containment zones.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Dr Harsh Vardhan yesterday chaired a video conference with States\/UTs Health Ministers regarding the steps taken on COVID-19.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday greeted the people on the beginning of holy month of Ramzan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cRamzan Mubarak!
