There are 11,201 active cases and 1748 have been cured\/discharged, the Health Ministry said on Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Maharashtra has highest COVID-19 cases \u2013 3205, followed by Delhi \u2013 1640, Tamil Nadu \u2013 1267, Rajasthan \u2013 1131 and Madhya Pradesh \u2013 1120.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Indian Government is taking several steps for prevention, containment and management of COVID-19 through a collective effort with the States\/UTs. These are being regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued a detailed guideline to all the States \/ UTs on enabling delivery of essential health care services to meet the unprecedented demand on the current healthcare system during the outbreak. These services include maternal child health, prevention and management of communicable health diseases, treatment of chronic diseases to avoid complications and addressing emergencies. It is also been advised that these services should be provided while ensuring safety for healthcare workers. Besides COVID-19 dedicated facilities, remaining facilities shall continue providing such services with the help of Not for profit and the private sector. Tele-health services should be promoted to prevent overcrowding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Cabinet Secretary yesterday wrote to all States\/UTs to ensure effective implementation of detailed guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for ensuring safety, shelter and food security of migrant labourers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The deadly virus which was first reported from China\u2019s Wuhan has infected over 2 million people globally and led to more than 1, 40,000 deaths.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Coronavirus cases in India has risen to 13,387, with 437 fatalities.
