The two-day state visit came just months after Prime Minister Narendra Modi&#8217;s &#8220;Howdy, Modi!&#8221; event in Texas last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">President Trump will arrive in Ahmedabad at around noon today along with First Lady Melania Trump and high-level delegation, including his daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">President Trump will visit Mahatma Gandhi&#8217;s Sabarmati Ashram and take part in a massive roadshow with PM Modi. The two leaders will address a mega event at cricket stadium where over one lakh people are expected to gather for the &#8216;Namaste Trump&#8217; cultural extravaganza.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Trump and his team will later leave for Agra to see the iconic Taj Mahal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">President Trump on Sunday said that he is looking forward to being with the people of India.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cLook so forward to being with my great friends in INDIA!,\u201d Trump remarked while retweeting a morphed clip from the blockbuster movie Baahubali.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">In a short video, which is shared by unverified Twitter account, Trump\u2019s\u2019 face was superimposed on the movie-character Baahubali.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">PM Modi had earlier tweeted, saying Trump&#8217;s visit an honour. &#8220;India looks forward to welcoming @POTUS @realDonaldTrump. It is an honour he will be with us tomorrow, starting with the historic programme in Ahmedabad,&#8221; he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Hours before arriving in India, Ivanka Trump recalled her last visit at the Global Entrepreneurial Summit in Hyderabad where she had shared the stage with PM Modi.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cTwo years after joining @narendramodi at the Global Entrepreneurial Summit in Hyderabad, I am honored to return to India with @POTUS and @FLOTUS to celebrate that the grand friendship between the world\u2019s two largest democracies has never been stronger!\u201d Ivanka tweeted.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>US President Donald Trump will arrive in India on Monday afternoon.
