Chinese health officials said on Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cOne new country (Islamic Republic of Iran) reported cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.\u201d WHO said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cChina has revised their guidance on case classification for COVID-19, removing the classification of \u201cclinically diagnosed\u201d previously used for Hubei province, and retaining only \u201csuspected\u201d and \u201cconfirmed\u201d for all areas, the latter requiring laboratory confirmation. Some previously reported \u201cclinically diagnosed\u201d cases are thus expected to be discarded over the coming days as laboratory testing is conducted and some are found to be COVID-19-negative,\u201d the statement said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Outside China, the number of deaths has climbed to 11, sources said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The virus, first emerged in December in Wuhan, the capital of central China\u2019s Hubei province, and has spread to more than two dozen other countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Many countries\u00a0have confirmed cases and several nations have evacuated their citizens from Hubei.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The death toll from China\u2019s new coronavirus epidemic has risen to 2236 with 118 more deaths reported, mostly from the hard-hit Hubei province.
