Slapping the draconian PSA on 2 ex J&amp;K CMs is expected from an autocratic regime that books 9-year olds for \u2018seditious remarks\u2019. Question is how much longer will we act as bystanders as they desecrate what this nation stands for?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Farooq Abdullah, Omar&#8217;s Abdullah&#8217;s father, was booked under the PSA last September and has been under house arrest since August.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Several politicians were detained in August as part of the centre&#8217;s massive crackdown after its decision to end special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the constitution and split it into two union territories.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti have been charged under the Public Safety Act (PSA).
