The move has disrupted proxy war by our western neighbour.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Earlier in the day, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, Chief of Naval Staff Adm Karambir Singh, Chief of Air Staff ACM RKS Bhadauria and Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane laid wreath and paid homage to martyrs at the National War Memorial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The Army Day is celebrated on January 15 every year as it was this day when the first Indian general &#8212; General Kodandera M Cariappa took over as the commander-in-chief of the Indian Army in 1949.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Abrogation of Article 370 is a historic step and it will connect Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of the country, Army Chief General MM Naravane said on Wednesday.
