{"id":317784,"date":"2019-12-12T11:23:53","date_gmt":"2019-12-12T11:23:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tehelka.com\/?p=317784"},"modified":"2019-12-12T11:23:53","modified_gmt":"2019-12-12T11:23:53","slug":"sc-dismisses-all-review-petitions-against-ayodhya-verdict","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tehelka.com\/sc-dismisses-all-review-petitions-against-ayodhya-verdict\/","title":{"rendered":"SC dismisses all review petitions against Ayodhya verdict"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-299371 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/tehelka.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Supreme-Court-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"636\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tehelka.com\/media\/2018\/06\/Supreme-Court-1.jpg 636w, https:\/\/tehelka.com\/media\/2018\/06\/Supreme-Court-1-300x175.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/>The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed all the review petitions filed against its November 9 landmark verdict on the Ayodhya land dispute case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">A five-judge bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde dismissed 18 petitions during an in-chamber hearing today afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The petitions were filed by Maulana Syed Ashhad Rashidi, who is the legal heir of original Ayodhya land dispute litigant M Siddiq, Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) among others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">In a historic judgement on November 9, a five-judge bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi ordered Ram temple on the disputed land of Ayodhya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The Court in its judgement also said that five acres of alternate land will be given to the Muslim side to build the mosque.
