Two fishermen returned and approached BSF post Kakmarichar, saying that Border Guard Bangladesh has apprehended them all and later released two of them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The Bangladesh Guards called a flag meeting over the issue, the security forces said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Around 10.30 am, the meeting took place; Post Commander along with five soldiers in the BSF boat approached the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) patrol.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">During the flag meeting, the BGB patrol did not release the Indian fisherman and also tried to cordon BSF troops, sources said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Sensing the situation worsen, BSF party immediately returned. But the BGB troops opened fire on the returning BSF party.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Both the soldiers were evacuated to the nearest medical facility, where Head Constable Vijay Bhan Singh was declared brought dead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Senior officials of the border force have reached the spot and are analysing the situation, officials said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">A probe into the incident has been issued.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">The relations between the two border forces have been cordial for decades.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Border Security Force (BSF) soldier was killed and another injured on Thursday after Border Guards of Bangladesh fired on them at a flag meeting along the riverine international border in West Bengal, officials said.
