Drinking water supply\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">pipelines should be fixed in an emergency. Food, drinking water should be provided in tribal settlements in remote areas and flood relief camps. Provisions should be made to inform <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">railway systems about rain and dam water release, directed CM Devendra Fadnavis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">CM\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">reviewed flood situations created in some districts due to heavy rainfall and relief and rescue work in progress by the related system in a meeting held at Sahyadri guest house.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil, Water Conservation Minister Girish Mahajan, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Subhash Deshmukh, Environment Minister Ramdas Kadam, <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Health Minister Eknath Shinde were present at the meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">CM communicated with district collectors of Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Pune, Nashik, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg through video conferencing and took a review of <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">the flood situation and relief operation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">22 teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) are deployed in Kolhapur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Chief Secretary has contacted Central Secretary and has demanded to move the residents of the flood-affected area through Dornier plane. District collector of Kolhapur told that related executions are in progress. 204 villages of Kolhapur district are flood-affected. The <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">administration has moved 11 thousand citizens to a safe place. Navy Rescue team is also active now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Sangli, Palus and Walwa taluka are flood-affected in the Sangli district. 53 thousand citizens have been moved. Residents of Mangalwedha and Malshiras taluka of Solapur district have to face flood situations. 2000 citizens of Pandharpur are moved to a safe location.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">CM directed to rescue people stuck in flood to a safe location and to provide them meal. 64 villages from Pune district and the city itself is flood-affected and 3343 people are rescued. Wheat and rice are distributed in flood-relief camps. All dams in Pune district are filled to 100% to its capacity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Eight talukas are affected and it has rained 105% above the average in Raigad district.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">In all 3000 people are moved to a safe place. 38 dams in Ratnagiri district are 100% full. 13villages are flood-affected. All dams in Nashik are full to its 100% capacity and the water released is the largest quantity in the last 50 years. 13 thousand residents are moved in Thane <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">district.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">CM directed systems to be on alert mode to provide in emergency clean drinking water, electricity and health services where the flood-water has died down. Health outfits should increase preventive measures to prevent epidemics. CM also told that medical teams will be sent from Mumbai if necessary. CM directed the Electricity Department to deploy extra teams and to on electricity supply in an emergency as soon as the flood subsides.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Railway officers had suggested that it would be better if they get the information of rainfall in the dam area and the water released through the dam. CM directed to inform railway Department with needed information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">162 medical teams are actively providing health services in the flood-affected area in the state. Additional teams will be deployed if needed. Eknath Shinde told that there is enough medicine storage and directed health outfits to be alert. Average annual rainfall of the tate is 1007 mm and it&#8217;s 685 mm extra than the average rainfall.
