Today from media reports I got to know that the Unnao victim had written to the Supreme Court. The letter is yet to be placed before me.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">\u201cThe court will try to do something constructive &#8220;amid this highly destructive environment,\u201d said Gogoi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">In the letter to the CJI, the rape victim and her family alleged that some people associated with the accused BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar were threatening to implicate them in fake cases if they did not settle the case.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">On Sunday, the rape victim was travelling to Rae Bareli with her lawyer and two aunts when a truck hit them.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">While the rape victim is battling for her life, her lawyer got injured and two of her aunts including one who was a witness to the crime were killed in the accident.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Sengar a four-time BJP legislator was arrested in the rape case in April last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">An FIR was lodged a day after the accident named Sengar, his brother and eight others.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Supreme Court on Wednesday took cognizance of a\u00a0letter written by the family of Unnao rape survivor\u00a0alleging threat to her life.
