If true, PM Modi has betrayed India\u2019s interests &amp; 1972 Shimla Agreement. A weak Foreign Ministry denial won\u2019t do. PM must tell the nation what transpired in the meeting between him &amp; @POTUS,\u201d Rahul said in a tweet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said in the Rajya Sabha that no such request had been made by PM Modi and added that it has been India\u2019s consistent position that all outstanding issues with Pakistan are discussed only bilaterally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">He said any engagement with Pakistan will require an end to cross-border terrorism, adding to it the minister said Simla and Lahore accords provided the basis for resolution of all issues bilaterally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Several Congress leaders\u00a0took to their twitter account, demanding PM Modi&#8217;s\u00a0statement in parliament on what Trump had said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Randeep Singh Surjewala tweeted, \u201cNow, \u2018Whitehouse\u2019 puts up @POTUS assertion in \u2018black &amp; white\u2019 that PM Modi asked him to \u2018mediate on Kashmir\u2019! When will our PM \u2018wake up\u2019 &amp; call the bluff if President Trump is lying?
