\"\"Asking the officials to achieve the target of providing housing for all in stipulated deadline, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis directed officials from various departments to Mhada should implement dedicated housing for police department and implement concept of housing for construction workers in mega-cities with the help of construction workers’ welfare board. He also asked officials to speed up Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana ( PMAY) and other housing development projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

The review meeting of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana was held at Sahyadri Guest <\/span>
\nHouse in his presence. Housing development minister Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil, minister of state for rural development Dadaji Bhuse were present.<\/span><\/p>\n

The concerned officials informed the meeting that 7.35 lakh houses have been sanctioned in rural areas while 11.44lakh houses have been sanctioned in areas falling under municipalitis areas. The target of building 19 lakh houses is kept for cities. C M Fadnavis said that a dedicated cell should be formed for implementation of PMAY in the municipal corporation limits. He directed officials to involve sanitation, water supply, urban development and power departments while implementing schemes through private public <\/span>
\nparticipation.<\/span><\/p>\n

In big cities housing schemes could be undertaken through construction workers welfare board and PMAY funds. Chief minister suggested that a project like Kamgar Nagar can also be taken up and for this, housing development and labour department can hold a joint meeting to prepare a plan for such a scheme. Stating that the Government provides loan for the housing for police department and there is subsidy for housing through other schemes <\/span>
\nas well. He directed the officials that MHADA can prepare housing projects for police by clubbing such schemes.<\/span><\/p>\n

77% housing complete in Rural areas <\/span><\/p>\n

Work for 77 per cent houses under PMAY has been completed in rural areas and state Government has also decided to regularize residential encroachments on Government lands. <\/span>
\nSubsidy is being provided for purchasing land under Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay scheme. <\/span>
\nChief Minister directed the officials to ensure that by completing all the schemes in stipulated time, it should be ensured that no family from rural areas remains homeless. The rural development department informed the meeting that 60 per cent of houses from new targets given by Union Government have been sanctioned.<\/span><\/p>\n

State Government has decided to regularize residential encroachments within a stipulated time for rural areas. Chief Minister directed that the residential encroachments <\/span>
