The issues under discussion at the summit include finance, global economy including taxation, Digital Economy and Artificial Intelligence; Free trade and economic growth, Inclusive and Sustainable World; Energy and Environment, Quality infrastructure, Global Health, Climate change, Aging and Marine plastic waste. The Summit will also adopt a declaration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">At G20, the issues of importance for India includes WTO reforms, financial stability, energy security, disaster resilient infrastructure, reformed multilateralism, countering terrorism, return of economic fugitives, democratization of technologies, food security and portable social security schemes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">On the sidelines of the G20 Summit, informal meeting of the BRICS leaders and bilateral meetings with other leaders would also take place.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">Established in 1999, G20 was elevated from a forum of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors to that of Heads of State\/Government in 2008 to effectively respond to the global financial crisis of 2008. Hereafter it has emerged as the premier global forum for international economic cooperation. G20 members represent around 85 per cent of global gross domestic product, over 75 per cent of global trade, and two-thirds of the world\u2019s population.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 14pt;\">India has participated in all the G20 Summits held so far and will host the G20 summit in 2022 for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will attend the 14th G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan, from 28-29 June 2019.
